Europe's most water-rich acratothermal spring was discovered 800 years ago. And none other than Paracelsus himself praised its healing effects when he visited the spring in 1535. After seeping through the Alps for around fourteen years, the thermal water gushes out of the spring at a temperature of 36.5° C and is also very suitable for drinking.

A real treat for your body as the crowning glory of your bathing experience. A heat towel is included in the entrance fee. Each additional one costs CHF 3.

ARCHITECTURE OF LIGHT AND WATER
Idyllic, glamorous and full of excitement: in the spa town of Bad Ragaz, just an hour's drive from Zurich, you can experience magnificent nature, crystal-clear mountain air and a spa culture steeped in tradition. For over eight centuries, the invigorating, warm thermal water of the Tamina spring has provided people with special pleasure and alleviated numerous ailments thanks to its healing effects. The first spa guests were still roped down into the gorge. Many celebrities enjoyed the Ragaz thermal waters, including Victor Hugo and Thomas Mann. In 1840, the spring water was piped to Bad Ragaz for the first time through a four-kilometre-long pipeline, and in 1872 the Tamina Therme, Europe's first indoor thermal spa, was built there.
The Ragaz thermal baths were completely rebuilt in 2009. Today, the Tamina Therme is a masterpiece of architecture and combines Swiss tradition with modern design. The stylish architecture has already won several awards. Alongside the famous thermal baths in Zurich, Ragaz is certainly the most attractive thermal baths in Switzerland: airy high ceilings, white lacquered spruce wood and 115 futuristic-looking columns make the thermal water world a real feast for the eyes. Large, oval windows flood the rooms with light and provide a view of the magnificent mountain scenery. A unique composition of light, water and nature.
