The traditional sauna ritual "Pirts" originates from Latvia and has been practiced there for centuries. Let our ritual masters pamper you with an attractive program around the Latvian cultural heritage of Pirts.
Tamina Therme is the first sauna in Switzerland to offer various Pirts rituals originating from Latvia. During the festival weekend, specialists in this traditional craft will travel from Latvia and guide you through the weekend with soothing treatments, rituals and infusions. At the heart of every Pirts ritual is the gentle massaging of the body with bundles of twigs. Birch, oak, lime and maple branches have a special effect on health, fragrance and energy. This touching and simultaneous waving of the branches is both massage and aromatherapy.
A varied Pirts program awaits you with rituals in the unique Pirts Sauna, nourishing body peelings in the newly built Sauna Nera and many other authentic Latvian experiences in the Sauna World.
